media pitch

1. The sub genre of our film is Psychological Thriller. It is about the experiences in the life of a drug addict. This film shows how taking illegal drugs can ruin a persons life and how it can psychologically change someone.

2. The plot is mainly based around how the drug addict has murdered someone in his inebriated state. The story will include how he tries to get away with murder,
whilst dealing with a serious drug addiction.

3. The target audience of this film will be younger people, from the age range of about 16-25. We found that people between these ages were more likely to experience and be affected by the use of drugs. This film will appeal to them as it is about drug use, not only is it a thriller, it is an informative film about the negative results of hard drug use.

4. The opening sequence will begin right at the start of the film, so it does not confuse the audience by keep going back in time.

5. The opening sequence will introduce the narrative right away as it will include drug use right from the start. It shall also be all focused on the protagonist, so he shall be properly introduced. It shall show the protagonist in a psychiatrics office, so the audience knows it’s going to be a psychological thriller.

6. The protagonist shall be negatively represented as he is an illegal drug user so he needs to be represented in a way that will show the audience that it is not a good idea to use drugs.

7. We are hoping for this film to achieve a depressing yet thrilling mood, with an undertone of dark humor. It is going to be sad and morbid, but at the same time it shall give the audience a tense and anxious feeling.

8. We are going to film the opening sequence so it is obscure and confusing, leaving the audience feeling unsure so they want to know what the narrative will be. It will grasp the viewer’s attention through all the weirdness that the opening sequence will display.
